There’s so many aspects to social media. One aspect that I’ve been focused on lately is creating beautiful images and graphics. It’s been fun to learn more about color and explore pretty fonts. If you’ve been wondering how to make graphics or beautiful quote images — you’ll love this week’s shares.

On a side note, I’m really in love with Instagram lately. Anyone else? It’s fun to learn a new medium. It’s different than all the other social networks and it’s definitely making me feel more creative. It’s taken me a while to get a feel for how to use it best for my business, but I think I’m really getting the hang of it! Feel free to follow me on Instagram and I’ll follow back. :)

Here we go… If you’ve never touched photoshop and are wondering how to make gorgeous documents, cover photos, social media post images or design beautiful graphics — you’re going to love this:

#1: Canva

I’ve tried a lot of different online tools to create images and graphics and Canva quickly become my favorite. I have no experience at all with photoshop and honestly, until Canva I didn’t know how to make graphics and didn’t feel creative. Now I feel super creative and I love creating images and graphics for my website, blog, social media — & I even use Canva to create my website opt-ins, letterheads, brochures and more. I’m hooked!

Canva is easy, intuitive and has an amazing selection of templates that are already optimized for the best sizes. They also provide a lot of tutorials to help you get started and they have a free Design School that will help you be super successful.

Best of all, Canva is free, unless you decide to choose a premium $1 image or upgrade to Canva for Work — where you can save your brand’s colors, logos and fonts. Even then, it’s only $12.95 per month. I use the free version and have only bought a few premium images for $1 each over the last year.

As far as design goes, Canva has saved me tons of money and time and has put me in creative control. You must check it out!

Speaking of design, since we’re on the subject, I’ve been obsessed with color recently & have read some really great articles on color. I’d love to share them with you:
